Christmas is near and one of the most used toppings, the whipped cream is facing a shortage. The shortage is poking up due to the explosion that had happened in August at an Airgas Inc facility in Florida.
The facility was the main supply of nitrous oxide which is used to keep the whipped cream airy in nature. The industry insiders are stating that the timing is really unfortunate and economically, the shortage could lead to a big loss.
The market for the product was expected to reach $505.3 million in 2016 but the number will take a big hit due to the problem at hand.
