A visit to a coffee shop might fill you with more calories than a fast food burger. Calorie count has become an important tool to look after our health and weight. Of course, not everyone has a properly calculated calorie label.
A Big Mac from McDonald’s has only 540 calories. While a long glass of latte and a muffin tied up together will give you 700 calories. Yes, you might be shocked by the difference.
All this is in our belief that healthy name equals low-calorie count foods. But this is not the case. The words lemon crust, pumpkin seed, and oats muffins give us false leads. We buy them with no second thoughts. But a name like double chocolate filled doughnuts will make you think twice.
So coffee shops are a dangerous place. So tread lightly.
