Avocado Seeds or Pulp: Which is healthier?

Avocado Seeds are something that we always avoid. But a recent study has shown that the seeds have higher antioxidant activity than the avocado pulp.

The study was conducted by the researchers at the Pennsylvania State University (Penn State) noted that the seeds have high anti-inflammatory properties as well.

“Chronic inflammation contributes to many diseases including cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and arthritis. The seeds have been used ethnobotanically for their anti-inflammatory properties,” the author noted.

Apart from these, the seeds also have phytosterols, triterpenes, fatty acids, furanoic acids, and abscisic acid according to the study.
