You can make dynamite from this food item

Believe it or not, peanut was used as an ingredient for dynamite in the early years.

The oil extracted from peanuts is used to make Glycerol. This is one of the main ingredient in nitroglycerin, which is highly unstable and explosive: making it perfect for dynamites.

It might be a third derivative, but peanuts were indeed used to make dynamites. The advancements in technology, however has given new ingredients for making such explosives.
