Here is why Chilli Peppers taste hot?

The burning sensation that comes to our mouth when we eat Chilli Peppers has always gave us mixed emotions. But have you ever wondered the scientific reason behind out mouth getting burned?

This is due to a chemical substance which is present in these peppers called capsaicin. The capsaicin has the power to bond our sensory nerves and at the same time, it tricks our nerves to make them feel like our mouth is being burned.

The pain then leads to the production of endorphins, which are our body’s painkillers.
