A new research presented at the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology annual meet suggests that Cinnamon is powerful enough to trigger changes in gene expression. This in turn, could be the reason why Cinnamon helps to prevent blood-sugar spikes.
Cinnamon is also known to protect against insulin resistance. The researchers also noted that people with type 2 diabetes can reduce the blood sugar content by consuming cinnamon on a daily basis. Adding Cinnamon in moderation into the food items was also recommended.
