Coconut Flower is the newest superfood in town. While coconut as a whole is seen as a superfood due to the various benefits it has, the flower is now making headlines for being healthy.
It has the presence of high amounts of healthy fats which is good for your blood sugars, brains and bones. Recently, celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar recommended the food item on Instagram with the following explanation.
“Splitting this open so that you can see what this is all about. Not a lotus or a rose but a flower nevertheless, say hello to the coconut flower. Rich in micronutrients and taste, hyper local to the coastal parts of India, this little flower is good for your blood sugars, brain and bones,” he noted.
It also contains a high amount of electrolytes which can keep your body going in the summer season.
