A new series of studies has shown that the color of the food in advertising can have a huge impact on the shoppers. Color has a strong influence on how people see other elements like taste, flavor, smell and texture.
For instance, people were fed custard with same texture and different colors but the feedback showed that both of them were interpreted differently. A similar experiment was carried out with wine tasting as well and it helped to reach a conclusion that color does have a huge impact on how people think about food.
This could be implemented in advertising industry soon as color might be the secret ingredient that food advertisers need to lure in customers.
