What is common between stress and junk food?
The question might not make any sense but researchers have found that both are equally unhealthy for us. The study was published in the Nature Scientific Reports and it revealed that being under stress is equally damaging to our health as eating junk food.
While stress is usually categorized as a psychological condition, it can have hazardous health impacts as well. For instance, in women, the stress can cause changes in gut bacteria as per the research.
“We sometimes think of stress as a purely psychological phenomenon, but it causes distinct physical changes.” The researchers at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in China noted.
