The bread lovers in Finland are set to have a new weird item added to their menu. Fazer’s, who are the largest food manufacturers in Finland is set to roll out bread made out of ground crickets.
According to the company, each bread loaf would have around 70 dried house crickets in it and these crickets would be farm-raised. Apart from the crickets, the bread will also have ingredients like flour and seeds.
“Offers consumers a good protein source and also gives them an easy way to familiarise themselves with insect-based food. Mankind needs new and sustainable sources of nutrition.” A statement said.
