The campaign is making a big difference

#CookForSyria is currently the hottest trend making rounds in United Kingdom. And it has a major cause behind it as well. The campaign was kickstarted by Serena Guen and Clerkenwell Boy.

Clerkenwell Boy is one of the top instagram stars from London while Guen is the founder of Unicef project NextGen London.

The two combined together to curate a charity dinner which would then raise awareness and raise funds for UNICEF UK’s Children of Syria appeal. A number of pop-up dinners were then arranged and now, a book has been released with the name.

“The various #PrayFor campaigns on social media inspired the name and we decided that a campaign related to cooking iconic dishes with a Syrian-inspired twist would be a great way to introduce people to the unique flavours of Syrian cuisine as well as its rich history and culture, plus help to put a spotlight on the generation we are at risk of losing due to the ongoing crisis.” said Clerkenwell.

Some of the best chefs from UK has come on board to cook charity dinners thanks to the movement.
