A legislator from the ruling party in India has come out against street food momos. The momos, which comes from the Tibetan and Nepali cuisine, is a popular snack among the Indians.
It is basically steamed vegetable or meat dumplings. However, according to legislator Ramesh Arora, Momos is the reason for ‘life-threatening diseases’.
The presence of food additive MSG is pointed out as the reason by Arora but recent studies have shown that MSG is not unhealthy as people project it to be. People have already started to protest against the proposed move through comments on Social Media.
