Dubai has introduced logos to help people eat healthy

The Food Safety Department of Dubai Municipality has introduced a new Healthy food logo which will be used as a stamp to verify whether the food item is healthy or not.

The logo aims to curb the misleading things that the restaurants might claim about the food items and at the same time, it also helps the consumers to make healthy food decisions. The stamp will be applicable to eateries and food delivery services.

“We don’t want anyone to make false claims about healthy food,” said Khalid Mohammad Sharif Al Awadi, the assistant director general of Dubai Municipality for Health, Safety and Environment Control.
