It’s no secret that we can hack almost all of our body functionalities by changing our diet. Sleep is no different. Not getting a proper sleep can derail your entire life cycle. And this is something that you should avoid at all cost.
So if your nights are turning out to be a struggle lately, there are some food items out there which could help you.
The Food items that do the trick
Warm Milk comes first on the list. The presence of tryptophan is what makes milk a sleep-inducing food item. Tryptophan converts to serotonin upon consumption and serotonin is known to soothe the brain.
Cherries are also known to help out. They contain melatonin which is a hormone that regulates the sleeping cycle. Eating almonds and Dark Chocolate can also help you get a proper sleep. Just like Milk, Almond contains tryptophan while Dark Chocolate contains serotonin. Dark Chocolate, however, should be consumed in moderation. If it’s hard to get your hands on these food items, you can also eat bananas or oats.
