It’s not a secret that the food we eat has a huge impact on our health. The same applies to cancer as well. What we have on our plate can either help cancer grow or force it to die off.
A new research published in the journal Nature suggests that certain nutrients found in food can aggravate cancer and make it spread faster. Asparagine found in asparagus is one such nutrient. Apart from asparagus, it is also found in poultry, seafood, and other food items.
“In the future, by modifying a patient’s diet or by using drugs that change the way that tumor cells can access these nutrients we hope to improve outcomes in therapy.” One of the researchers said
