It’s not a secret that the food we eat has an impact on our body. The nature of the impact depends on the type of food as well. For instance, there are some food items which results in the production of heat in our body.
The increased digestion period of these food items is the reason why there is a sudden increase in body temperature.
“Food has a substantial impact on you. When food causes the temperature in your body to increase, it is known as thermogenesis. Thermogenesis occurs when your body breaks down the food that you consume to produce brown fat which has a particular protein. When this protein reacts, with the food it causes the production of heat.” A nutritionist from India notes.
Food items like carrots, potatoes, sweet potatoes and other root vegetables cause a similar impact. Fruits like mangoes, apples and oranges are also known to produce heat.
