Food prices are rapidly increasing in East Africa due to a major problem

Toning down the amount of food you eat to save money should never be an option

East Africa is facing a major headache as the food prices are rapidly increasing. United Nations has noted that the rise is due to the prevailing drought and it has left the people in a precarious situation.

“Sharply increasing prices are severely constraining food access for large numbers of households with alarming consequences in terms of food insecurity,” said Mario Zappacosta, the FAO senior economist and co-ordinator of the Global Information and Early Warning System.

The situation might require some time to be fixed and it would need efforts from various fields as well.
