Red Meat is considered to be unhealthy due to a long list of reason. In fact, Red meat consumption is also linked to climate change. But did you know that there is a way in which you can consume the food item in a healthy manner?
A new study published in the Journal of Nutrition suggested that consuming small servings of red meats as part of Mediterranean diet could help reduce the chances of multiple sclerosis.
“A Mediterranean diet, including unprocessed red meats, was associated with reduced risk of FCD in this Australian adult population. The addition of unprocessed red meats to a Mediterranean diet may be beneficial for those at high risk of MS,” the study notes.
While this is indeed good news, it is not recommended to consume the food item beyond moderation as it increases the risk of high blood pressure and cholesterol.
