The heart of Indians will be overflowing with patriotism on August 15th. Everyone out there will have their unique way celebrating this year’s Independence Day and as far as Foodies are concerned, they will be looking to celebrate the occasion with some delicious food. And since we are bound to come across the Tri Colors at every turn today, why not make aTri color Cake?

The ingredients needed to make the Tri Color Cake are:

  • Flour – 200 grams
  • Food Color (Orange, Green and White)
  • Sugar – 200 grams
  • Butter – 200 grams
  • Egg – 5
  • Vanilla essence and Baking Powder – 1 Tbsp. Each
  • Baking pans – 3
  • Cream – As required

If you have lined up the ingredients, let’s get cooking shall we?

  • The first thing you need to do is mix the flour, sugar and butter
  • Into the mix, add the eggs one by one and beat them
  • After adding the eggs, add vanilla essence to the batter
  • Take the three baking pans and great them with butter
  • Divide the prepared batter equally into the three pans
  • Now, add one color to each baking pan
  • Place the pans in oven and bake them at 200 degree
  • Take them out after around 45 minutes
  • Stack the layers in order of the tri color by using cream in between the layers
  • If you want, you could top off the cake with some cream as well
  • Your Independence Day Special Tri Color Cake is ready to be served
