The leading food brands in this country is not up to the nutritious mark

The food industry in India received a major headache thanks to a new survey conducted by Access to Nutrition Index India Spotlight.

The research showed that no more than 12% of beverages and 16% of foods sold by nine leading Indian food brands were of high nutritional quality. The non-profit organization evaluated various factors such as manufacturers’ policies, practices and others to reach such a conclusion

With India facing malnutrition and obesity at an alarming rate, the new study is something that everyone should look into.
