Christmas is all about celebrating together and the London Muslim community has decided to donate a whopping amount of 10 tonnes of food for the homeless.
Hundreds gathered in the East London Mosque in a drive to collect the food. Local businesses schools, universities and many others came in to donate for the cause and which turned out to be a great success story.
“In the cold winter months when we have the luxury of a home and hot food, it’s easy to forget about others that are in dire need around us. So it is in that spirit we take part in this big food drive.” Shaykh Abdul Qayum, Chief Imam of the East London Mosque said.
