New study confirms the dangers associated with fly landing on your food

A new study published by the researchers at Penn State Eberly College of Science in the United States has found that common houseflies carry bacteria such as salmonella and E-Coli.

It was also revealed in the study that bacteria which lead to stomach ulcers and deadly sepsis were also carried by the flies.  It once again confirms the dangers that fly carry even though they are overlooked by most of us in our day-to-day life.

”People had some notion that there were pathogens that were carried by flies but had no idea of the extent to which this is true and the extent to which they are transferred,” said Dr Donald Bryant, Professor of Biotechnology at Penn State University.
