The habit of throwing away egg yolk is common among foodies. The assumption of egg yolk being linked with heart diseases is one of the main reasons why the habit exists. But apparently, egg yolks aren’t that bad for you.
The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition recently collected findings from 21 different studies which suggest that the dietary cholesterol and saturated fat found in yolks are not associated with heart diseases and stroke. Apart from this, the riboflavin present in the yolk is known to bring down cholesterol.
