Overweight individuals more likely to make unhealthier food choices

Obese people tend to make more unhealthy decisions when it comes to food

A new research has found that overweight individuals are prone to make unhealthier food choices when met with such situations.

The brain activity of obese people is different when compared to the brain activity of lean people. The experiment for the research was carried out on both lean people and obese people and the obese people consumed more unhealthy food when faced with choices which also had healthy food.

It was also proven that impulsivity is one of the factors that drive obese people toward unhealthy food whereas in lean people, impulsivity did not impact their choices of food.
