Chicken wings are a mainstay when it comes to a viewing party. There aren’t many things out there more exciting than munching down some delicious chicken wings and enjoying the game with our friends. And as the coming months are going to be filled with some sporty action, we decided to list down a recipe for smoked chicken wings.
The ingredients that you would need for making Smoked chicken wings are:
- 12 party wings 2 quarts water
- 6 tablespoons sugar
- 6 tablespoons salt
- 4 tablespoons crushed garlic
- 2 1/2 tablespoons whole peppercorns
- 6 fresh sage leaves, chopped
All these ingredients should be kept in a pot and boiled. Stir properly and once the sugar and salt are dissolved, place the wings and brine in a water tight container and refrigerate.
Once the wings are taken out, rinse it in cold water.
Depending on the grill that you use, heat it and place the wings on it. The internal temperature of the wings should be brought to 165 degree before you take it out. If a charcoal grill is used, heat one side of the grill and add wood chips to create smoke while placing the wings on the other side.
You could garnish with cilantro leaves. Also, you could make a dip using a 28 oz bottle of Sriracha, ¼ cups of soy sauce, 2 cups of honey, zest and juice of one lime, and ¼ pound melted butter. All you have to do is, place all these ingredients and whisk it properly.
