Scientists have always been on the look out to improve the expeditions of astronauts into space. In the latest research carried out by the scientists at Clemson University, they are trying to turn cosmonaut urine into nutrients and plastic.
The idea is to extend the time that astronauts can spend in space and as food is an important thing for the same, this whole process is important.
“If astronauts are going to make journeys that span several years, we’ll need to find a way to reuse and recycle everything they bring with them. Atom economy will become really important.” A release noted.
