Sit-down restaurants expected to struggle in Canada

The sit-down restaurants in Canada are apparently set to go into a tough phase. After an average year in 2016, the restaurant sector might not show any big moves this year as well and a new research has shown that the customer traffic to the restaurant is expected to be low.

“The full-service, casual-dining segment is still getting hammered in Canada. Consumers continue to spend a little bit when they go out, but all of (the growth) is taking place in that quick-service segment.”said Robert Carter, executive director of foodservice at NPD Group.
