A restaurant name Kujiraya in Osaka is treating its customers with some rare whale meat. The Whale meat served, known for its low-calorific and low-fat values have been met with warm hands by the foodies in the region.
The restaurant provides various ways to eat whale including the raw ‘Sashimi’. Whale meat was a traditional dish in Japanese schools a long time back but the consumption of domestic whale meat decreased when people relied on imported meats.
“It was a nostalgic taste I used to enjoy at home and at my school lunch in my childhood,” said a male customer.
A whale meat barbecue restaurant is also being planned by the company.
