This state might bring back food tax

The word tax spelt out in sugar to represent sugar tax

West Virginia might bring back food tax as part of fixing the state’s budget. The Governor Jim Justice suggested such a move and it also includes increasing the gas tax.

Food tax was completely phased out from the state back in 2013 and now people suggest that bringing back a six percent tax on food items could generate around $300 dollars.

“Not that I’m for any tax but there’s a monster and we got to do something or the ceilings going to fall in,” One delegate commented.
