Foodies are having tonnes of headaches. These headaches range from the safety of the food they eat to the rising prices and covers many other problems. The latest addition to the list is apparently the superbug bacteria.
A new study has shown that around 25,000 people die from such super bugs in the European Union every year.
“We have put substantial efforts to stop its rise, but this is not enough. We must be quicker, stronger and act on several fronts. Antimicrobial resistance is an alarming threat putting human and animal health in danger,” said Vytenis Andriukaitis, the EU’s health and food safety commissioner.
Apart from food, these superbugs also impact humans and animals.
