Supermarkets are relying on charities rather than reducing food wastage

The surplus food from Supermarkets might be going to the charities but according to new numbers, the food that goes into such charities is just a small portion of what is wasted by such supermarkets

Some people are even commenting that the relationship that supermarkets have with charities has slowed down the efficient usage of food as there is an alternative even if there is surplus food.

This mentality, however, has led to more food wastage. One of the most striking statistic that support this research is that of bread. Around 44 per cent of the bread produced in UK is wasted meaning that it’s high time that we started to act.
