A lot of factors are associated with early death. A new study has found that regularly eating ultra-processed food items can shorten your life.
Speaking statistically, people who eat food items like pizzas. Chips or French fries have a 14% higher chance of dying early. This increases with every 10% increase in the amount of ultra-processed food that we eat.
“Ultra-processed foods are mostly consumed in the form of snacks, desserts, or ready-to-eat or -heat meals. And their consumption has largely increased during the past several decades,” the authors noted.
The additives, packaging, and processing are the factors of ultra-processed food items that negatively impact the health. So if you have a habit of eating such food items regularly, it is better to slow down and avoid the risk of an early death.
