Thousands of tonnes of Oranges could be destroyed this year, here’s why

The large scale increase in harvest and the lack of buyers could result in the wastage of thousands of tonnes of oranges in Tunisia. The nation produced 550,000 tonnes of oranges so far this year in comparison to the usual 400,000 tonnes by this time.

The increase in the production could lead to wastage of these oranges, if suitable buyers are not found. The news comes as a bad news for around 12,000 of families in Tunisia that depend on Orange industry.
