The train food in this country has been ruled unsuitable for consumption

The food served on the Indian trains have been ruled as unsuitable for human consumption.

The same was found in the annual audit which took place recently and it suggested that food was stored in the open, in turn attracting insects. Non-purified water was another major issue which was found.

India has one of the largest railway networks in the world with around 23 million passengers traveling daily.
