This university lets parking violators pay with food

In an attempt to boost food donations, the University of Florida is now making parking violators pay with food. Although it initially felt like a prank, the President of the university, W Kent Fuchs formally announced the same and said that the parking tickets from last year will be forgiven with food donations.

The President also noted that more than 2,000 citations had been exchanged for 9,455 food donations. The food items donated included mostly peanut butter, canned peaches and other canned items. These will now be kept in the school’s Field and Fork pantry for the time being.
