Vitamin D: Why and how you should get it

Vitamin D is one of the most crucial nutrients. It is a unique vitamin that works as a hormone in our body and our skin has the ability to make it when exposed to the sun.

But the reality is: most of the people don’t get enough of this vitamin. Some people suffer due to the lack of sunlight while others decided to stay inside or use sunscreen when there is the sun. This, however, can lead to many problems.

Not having enough Vitamins in our system can lead to serious diseases such as diabetes, cancer, osteoporosis and others. If you cannot get enough sunlight, then you can take supplements or a tablespoon of cod liver oil to avoid the deficiency.

Other food items that you can include in your diet are tuna, salmon, beef liver and soy milk.
