Wasted super market food is feeding the hungry in Milan

The Refettorio Ambrosiano, a sustainable soup kitchen in Milan is feeding the poor from wasted super market food from the city. Established in 2015, the kitchen was first introduced to recover food from the World Expo’s Restaurants.

It has recovered a whopping 25 tonnes of food in its existences and has managed to feed the poor with this. It is supplied by several super markets and the people who come to eat at the kitchen comes from all the backgrounds.
