  1. Go with fruits with low glycaemic index: Fruits with low glycaemic index does not cause a sharp spike in the blood glucose levels. Guava, apples, pears and grapefruit among others fall into this category.
  2. Don’t eat overripe fruits: The last thing you want to do is to eat overripe fruits. It has a high content of sugar when it compared to less ripened fruits.
  3. Avoid juices: It is recommended to eat your fruits as a whole rather than going with juices. A considerable amount of fibre is lost when you turn fruits into juice.
