Whole Foods closing its regional kitchens

Whole Foods has announced that it would be closing down its three remaining regional kitchen facilities. The moves come as part of the on-going plan to streamline the food chain’s operations.

The closure is expected to cost around 500 jobs but Whole Foods said that the employees would be placed within the company itself.

One of the kitchens which is set to close had earlier received a warning from US Food Safety regulators for contamination which was a threat to health.
