So why do we eat ice cream to get us over a breakup? Researchers from the University of Wurzburg, in Germany, have found an answer.
It seems that when you are emotionally down, the ability to sense flavours increases. Also, people who are depressed don’t detect the amount of fat present in their food. This is why ice cream has been appointed as our soul comfort food.
