How to make neon food that glows under UV Light

Have you ever felt that your food is boring or that you should do something new with it?

Well, a Twitter user from Japan with the handle @Unatra might just have the answer. The user has come up with a technique with which he has managed to make the food that he made glow under UV light.

The idea captured the attention of the Internet when the user posted a picture of the rice balls that he made. The effect was achieved by the usage of Vitamin B2 pills, tonic water and green food coloring which were used to boil the rice.

Vitamin B2 and Quinine does the job

Vitamin B2 is known to be fluorescent under UV light. The second factor that contributes is the quinine in the tonic water.
