Did you know about this secret ingredient in Ice Creams?

We are familiar with almost all the ingredients that are used to make Ice Creams. Even if it comes in different flavors, the core ingredients usually stay the same but when it comes to mass-produced ice creams, one more ingredient gets added that most of us do not know about.

The ingredient we are talking about is seaweed. It is used as a thickening agent in most of the mass-produced ice creams. The whole process started back in Japan when a Japanese innkeeper found that seaweed can form a sort of gel when frozen and thawed. This discovery soon led to the usage of seaweeds as a thickening agent for food items.
