You should limit intake of animal proteins if you have kidney stones


Kidney stones are one of the most common disorders which revolve around urinary tract. The stone is actually hard materials formed in the kidney when substances like calcium, oxalate and phosphorus in the urine become concentrated.

If you are suffering from the disorder, it would be good if you keep animal proteins away from your diet.

These are known to increase the risk of both calcium and uric acid stones. This is due to the presence of Purine compound that leads to uric acid stone formation. It is found in high levels in food items such as liver, heart and kidney, sardines, mackerel, mussels, shrimp, bacon and some others.
