Eating on the plane is always a forgettable experience. And in case you did not know, there is a scientific reason behind this. The altitude and the freshness of the food are what messes with the taste and apparently, we can make the dining experience better if you plug in some earphones.
This is according to Oxford University professor Spence. He suggests that the loud engine noise is one thing that contributes to bad taste.
“Donning a pair of noise-cancelling headphones could actually be one of the simplest ways in which to make food and drink taste better at altitude,” he noted.
