The combination of wine and steak never fails to impress. While the pairing has been a traditional delicacy for so long not many know the scientific reason behind why these two food items work well together.
Research suggests that this is because wine and steak are at the opposite end of the sensory spectrum.
Wine would feel rough and dry in your mouth whereas the fat from the steak makes it feel slippery. This opposite impact is apparently what makes these two a great pairing.
