The science behind beer belly

Getting a beer belly is probably the last thing a foodie would want. Whenever the topic of drinking beer pokes up, there is a sense of fear which circles around the extra fat that might accumulate in our tummy.

But what exactly is the reason for beer belly?

Well, wonder no more. The beer belly is basically a portion of extra fat around your stomach. If you did not know, the beer carries a lot of calories. A pint carries around 150 calories to be exact. So if you are having a large drink, you consume a large amount of calorie.

In addition to this, beer prevents our body from burning fat as well. The combined impact of these two factors on the long run leads to a beer belly.
