Banana with edible peel skin, anyone?

Peeling and throwing away the skin is perhaps the most irritating part of eating a banana. Well, we might not have to do it for a long time. D & T Farms, a company based out of Japan has come up with a banana which has edible skin.

The edible skin is developed by growing the banana trees at a temperature of minus 75 degrees Fahrenheit. It is then thawed and replanted. This makes the fruit grow fast and leaves the skin with a texture.

The company claims that the peel is a source of Vitamin B6, Magnesium and Tryptophan
