KFC has been forced to close hundreds of their stores in the United Kingdom due to the unavailability of chicken. Shockingly, around 900 stores were closed as a result and KFC rolled out an apology as well.
“We know that this might have inconvenienced some of you over the last few days, and disappointed you when you wanted your fried chicken fix — we’re really sorry about that,” the company noted in their statement.
But the good news is that around 300 KFC stores are still open in the region. The problem apparently is due to KFC’s delivery partners DHL who are facing some operational issues. DHL apparently delayed and failed to complete a number of deliveries which in turn resulted in the shortage as per KFC. The franchise noted that they have brought a new delivery partner to make things run smooth again.
