Are eggs safe for diabetics?

A new study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition has shown that eggs are safe for diabetics. The study broke the common belief that eating 12 eggs per week can cause heart diseases in patients with type-2 diabetics.

The study was conducted over a period of 12 months and the patients were put on a diet which saw them eat up to 12 eggs per week whereas another group was put to a diet where they ate less than two eggs per week.

The signs of cardiovascular diseases in both the groups were not impacted by the egg consumption which in turn led to the conclusion that eggs are not so harmful to diabetics
