A new study has found an interesting relationship between Vitamin D levels and Belly Fat. According to the researchers, people who carry excess fat around their belly are more prone to have vitamin D deficiency than others.

The study highlights another major problem related to obesity. Low Vitamin D levels can result in poor bone health and increased risk for respiratory infection. Also, it has an impact on autoimmune and heart diseases.

“The strong relationship between increasing amounts of abdominal fats and lower levels of vitamin D suggests that individuals with larger waistlines are at a greater risk of developing deficiency, and should consider having their vitamin D levels checked,” the study author noted.
